Vincent Butterfield and Zac Gossage are typical best friends. They laugh together, they play together and they have fun together.

But last year, after feeling ill and tired for weeks, Zac was diagnosed with cute lymphoblastic leukemia - a fast-growing form of cancer. And things suddenly got a lot more serious.

But, despite Zac's treatments, he almost never missed a day of school.

Why?

"Because I get to play with Vincent outside at recess."

Curious about the disease affecting his friend, Vincent starting asking questions and learned that Zac’s treatment was very expensive.

Not only did he raise over $200 for Zac's family though making and selling scarves, but little Vincent also did something pretty amazing.

He turned up to school one day wearing a cap and told his teacher he had a "surprise" for his best friend. He pulled it off to reveal that he had shaved his head… and the reason behind his decision was beautiful:

"I cut it off… to make Zac feel like he's not the only one without any hair."
