Boudicca Stretton-Brown, from Cardiff, who has three children under the age of three, posted her offer on Gumtree, writing:
‘Free home cooked meal every Monday (or other arranged day) for family with children living on benefits or struggling to keep the fridge stocked due to unforeseen personal circumstances.
‘I will be cooking for my own family and make extra, which can be picked up or I can drop off if local.
‘I’m a stay-at-home mum and lucky enough to be in a position to offer a little help to those who may need it.’
Since placing the advert online, the 27-year-old has been inundated with offers of help.
Boudicca revealed:
‘My advert went all over Twitter – it was a bit of a shock.'
‘Lots of people wrote to say they saw my adverts and felt inspired to help out with the cooking, including one from a chef. It has been really heart warming.’
And Boudicca has credited her husband for helping her help others, writing on her Facebook:
"Thank you to my wonderful husband for funding my project, I couldn't do this without him. Love you xXxX"
