Ryanair has warned passengers that its online check-in service https://www.ryanair.com/en/manage-your-booking/ will not be available for 10 hours this weekend due to essential maintenance.
Yup, you read that right; the airline’s website and app is set to “close” from 19:00 (GMT) on Friday, June 19th, to 05:00 (GMT) this Saturday, June 20th.
As well as online check-in being unavailable, customers will also not be able to make any new bookings or changes to existing flights during the web closure.
The company have been busy contacting all customers intending to travel on these dates by email and SMS text, to advise them of the best course of action.
So what IS the best course of action?
Well, quite simply, those heading off on their jolly holidays this weekend should make every attempt to check in BEFORE the closure takes place, in a bid to avoid any disruption.
Ryanair's Robin Kelly said: “We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this upgrade, which will further improve Ryanair.com, Europe’s largest travel website.”
