21-year-old Tony Moreno has been arrested after he allegedly threw his 7-month-old son off a bridge before attempting to take his own life.
Moreno and his ex-partner Adrianne Ovola had been involved in a bitter custody battle prior to their son Aaden’s death.
The disturbed father chillingly texted the baby boy’s mother before the horrific incident.
The message read: "Enjoy your new life without us."
Ms Oyola was granted a restraining order against her ex, but it was then revoked less than two weeks later.
In court documents she described her ex partner as ‘mentally and physically abusive’.
She said: “He told me how he could make me disappear, told me how he could kill me. I sometimes am scared to sleep. He told me he would put me in the ground and put something on me to make me disintegrate faster."
A judge ruled that Moreno was not a danger to his son and shockingly told the boy’s mother to ‘grow up’.
Sadly, this enabled Moreno to take his son to the Arrigoni Bridge in Connecticut, USA.
Emergency services arrived at the scene after Ms Ovola raised the alarm, but the boy was found dead further down the river.
Mr Moreno is currently being held in custody after he was arrested for the murder of his son.
