We’ve all been there: when you’re actually at school, sometimes the work can be the last thing on your mind.

And kids these days have so much more going on in their lives.

So one father came up with an ingenious way to make his daughter start caring about her progress at school.

The clever dad took away his little girls iPhone and put it in a glass box.

You know those boxes on the tube or the bus, which are labelled ‘in case of emergency, break glass’? Yeah, one of those.

But instead this box is labelled ‘In case of “B” break glass”.

He posted a picture of his invention to Imgur and wrote: “My daughter is currently pulling a D in maths – this is her phone.”

If that’s not enough encouragement for his little girl, we don’t know what is!

We bet her grades have already started to improve…
