Hidden cameras found inside the women's toilets at two restaurants in America were planted there by Andrew Boden, 64, who has since confessed to the creepy crime.

Boden was arrested this week, but police have been searching for him for months after finding a hidden camera in a restaurant toilet back in August 2013.

Recently a second camera was found to be hidden at a nearby Starbucks, and Boden has also admitted to hiding more cameras in other area locations - although the information on which ones has not been released.

The hidden cameras were fashioned to look like door hooks or electrical outlets, which meant that, when one woman tried to hang her bag on one, the camera was located.

Inside one of the devices were 10 videos - and it was here that Boden incriminated himself.

Authorities were able to identify Boden after an examination of the camera revealed it contained two photographs - or 'accidental selfies' of the man suspected of planting it in the wall.

Boden was arrested and charged with improper photography or video recording Monday afternoon and transported to the Grapevine jail.

He has since paid a $2,000 bond - the American equivalent to bail - and has been released.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
