The 16-year-old disappeared 12 days ago. She is thought to have left her home, taking her laptop and iPad with her.

Two houses have been searched in the operation, including one across the street from Rebecca’s 17-year-old boyfriend Luke Oberhansil.

The youngster is reportedly devastated over the disappearance of his girlfriend,

Luke’s mother told The Mirror: "It's just sad what her family is going through. Luke is gutted.

"They have only been going out together for a few months but Becky is a lovely girl.

"We've both been going out on the searches for Becky and we're still hopeful she will be found alive.

"Luke attends a different college to Becky and he has gone in to lessons today."

This story is still developing as police continue their questioning.
