It has now been revealed that Stephen Port, 40, who is due to appear at the Old Bailey today on murder charges, starred in Celebrity Masterchef just last year.

In images released by the BBC, chef Stephen can be seen making meatballs with JLS singer JB Gill and actress Emma Barton - from EastEnders.

The chef smiles at the camera while working at West Ham Bus Garage, where contestants and the chefs made pasta and meatballs for more than 100 bus drivers in the episode from last year.

Stephen stands accused of murdering four young men over 15 months, after he met them online.

He allegedly invited the men to his flat where he gave them fatal doses of GHB - liquid ecstasy.

Port then apparently had sex with the victims while they were unconscious, before dumping their bodies nearby.

All the victims died in the early hours of the morning between June 2014 and September 2015, and were all found within a quarter of a mile of Stephen’s home.

But the Met has been criticised after failing to link the four deaths until last week, when they realised the connection.

His four victims, Daniel Whitworth, Anthony Walgate, Gabriel Kovari and Jack Taylor, are thought to have died from poisoning.
