Amanda Froggatt was not expected to live past her third birthday after developing a brain tumour as a child. Her parents were told she had just weeks to live, but amazingly Amanda pulled through.

Despite this, Doctor's told the 23-year-old it was highly unlikely she would ever conceive a child, due to radio and chemotherapy received as a child.

But just months after starting to try for a baby with her mechanic boyfriend Ben Whiley-Farenden, 22, and Amanda found she was pregnant for the first time.

Amanda gave birth to daughter Zarah Lily, and spoke of her amazement that she was able to have her own child.

'Me and Ben had only been trying for a few months when I became pregnant and it really felt like a miracle.'

Her mother Diane described the moment they found out Amanda was pregnant as 'completely overwhelming, especially as we never thought she would be able to have children.'

'Amanda will be an excellent mother. She has wanted this for so long. Her three sisters all have children and although she was an amazing auntie, I could see it was upsetting her deep down.'

And the tight knit family admitted that her sisters were considering becoming surrogates if Amanda couldn't conceive a child on her own.
