The father of Becky Watts’ boyfriend has revealed that he has been left ‘devastated’ over the death of his girlfriend.
The 17-year-old attempted to continue his studies as police searched for Becky, 16, but his father has revealed that he has been struggling to cope with the horrific murder of his girlfriend.
Luke Oberhansil’s father Ivan, 49, told The MailOnline: “It’s like something out of a horror story. You can imagine how he must feel.”
Becky went missing in mid-February. Her body was found dismembered at a house in Bristol.
The teenager’s stepbrother has been charged with her murder whilst his girlfriend has been charged with perverting the course of justice.
Three men and one women have also been arrested in connection with her murder.
Alleged murderer Nathan Matthews appeared in court last week.
Prosecutor James Ward said during the session: “Nathan Matthews is charged with the murder of Rebecca Watts.
“The allegations of this case have been well-rehearsed in the press recently and I do not propose to go into the finer details.
“There are still people helping the police with their inquiries. Therefore, it would be wrong to place before the media further details about this case.”
