Adorable six-year-old explains the meaning of love

Many a poet has tried to define the true nature of love. But this six-year-old girl seems to have it nailed, as she spells out how to detect the feeling in a succint note to her teacher.

In an essay entitled 'What is Love?' Emma K explains that: 'Love is when you're missing some of your teeth.'

'But you're not afraid to smile. Because you know your friends will still love you even though some of you is missing.'

We have to admit, after reading this for a second time, we kind of think Emma K has hit the nail on the head there.

The adorable piece has gained over 5,444 likes on image sharing site imgur, with many users praising the child's simple yet amazingly accurate description of love.

'That's actually really beautiful' wrote one user, while another joked 'My 6 year old is definitely behind.'
