A home invasion would leave most people too terrified to think rationally, but 4-year-old Abby Dean managed to stay calm AND foil the plans of her criminal babysitter.

According to Fox 6 Now news, Abby’s 17-year-old babysitter orchestrated a false home invasion, along with her 16-year-old boyfriend and another male suspect.

Abby explained: “They told us to get out of the house ’cause they wanted to steal stuff.

“The bad guys stole by kitty bank. They stole my iPod. They also stole my Xbox and my Wii."

The babysitter then claimed that two armed black men broke into the home, telling investigators that one of the suspects looked like Abby's next door neighbour.

However, when police cuffed her innocent neighbour, little Abby spoke up in his defence.

“It wasn’t the right skin colour!”

Abby told investigators the suspects had white skin — not black. And that’s when the babysitter’s story started to crumble.

She confessed her crimes and, as for the stolen belongings, well…
