Kyle Darker was found at his house in Eccles at around 3.30pm yesterday. He was airlifted to hospital but unfortunately doctors were unable to save his life.

Friends of the boy suggested he was being bullied after he started at the school in September.

His aunt, Margaret Tunnacliffe said: 'Tonight we lost our very happy, outgoing, funny little boy. Your loss has left another big hole in our hearts. We are going to miss you terribly sweetheart.'

Family friend Jean Wilde added: 'What a lovely little boy, my heart goes out to his parents and I fear for other boys like him that fall prey to bullying.'

Kyle was a keen piano player who used to visit his neighbour Pete William's house to practise. Pete said: 'I will miss him so much. He was fabulous.'

A spokesman for the boy's school, St Patrick's, said that 'the thoughts and prayers of all staff members and the school are with the family and friends of Kyle.'

They refused to comment on whether he was being bullied.
