Veteran entertainer Rolf Harris has been found guilty on all 12 charges of indecent assault at Southwark Crown Court.

During Harris' trial, which opened on 9th May 2014, prosecutors claimed that the entertainer was a "Jekyll and Hyde" character who had a dark side to his personality and used his fame to abuse under-age girls with impunity.

But his defence team told the jury that Harris' reputation had been "trashed" by a prosecution which did not reach the standard of criminal proof.

The 12 counts of indecent assault between 1968 and 1986 relate to four alleged victims, the youngest of whom was just seven years old.

There was reportedly no reaction from Rolf Harris in the dock as he was convicted of assaulting the four girls.

The veteran entertainer will be sentenced later this week; he has been released, for the time being, on bail.

He now faces up to ten years in jail after a jury of six men and six women found him guilty on all charges.

Meanwhile Harris is to be stripped of the honour he was given by Bafta two years ago.

A spokesman for Bafta said: "The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has made the decision to annul the Bafta Fellowship bestowed upon Rolf Harris in 2012 following his conviction."
