The lottery winner from Surrey works up to 60 hours a week in a care home and, despite his millionaire status, he does not plan to retire anytime soon.

Ron says that he enjoys his job and feels he has a responsibility to those he cares for that he can’t give up suddenly. ‘I find it a satisfying job. Now I’m in a position where I could leave but I want to carry on.'

He continues: ‘my clients have dementia and suffer from memory loss. They don’t care that I’ve won the lottery and they still need care.’

Ron is responsible for helping elderly people with day-to-day tasks that most people take for granted. 'I have to give them their breakfast, do their laundry and do the housework. Because you work with old people who rely on you, you can’t just take time off.'

Mr Elliot partly credits the elderly folks for his multi-million pound win as he was on his way to work when he bought the lucky dip ticket. Extremely lucky so it turns out!

Ron says he'll keep his day job but spend his winnings on a house and a trip to see the World Cup.

Ron also plans to share his wealth with the old folks: ‘I would like to see them have a good Christmas, if we can arrange something.’

The kind hearted millionaire also says he wants to use his £7, 959, 312 winnings to pay off his son’s mortgage, buy a house and go to the 2014 World Cup.
