Whether it’s you taking someone out, or you’re the lucky one being whisked off on a romantic date, the first thought is what are you both going to do?

So you’ve found a match on Tinder, or you’re planning to ask out that friend of a friend, but what do you do for your first date?

A first date is always exciting as it’s the first step in getting to know your potential partner a little bit better.

But do we always just want to go for the traditional dinner or drinks option?

Bownty.co.uk recently ran a survey that revealed that 80% of us Brits would choose the wine and dine option.

But the survey also found some surprising results…

A quarter of us would like to do something a little different than sitting down for some food on our first date, along the lines of a city tour, music concert or even a boat trip.

But there are a fair few of us Brits that would also like to try something that’s not regarded as “the norm”.

For example, 14% said they would go go-karting for their first meeting, while 4% said they would like to skydive.

Although only a small percentage of those questioned, there were still a few that wanted a more intimate meeting and would like to go to a spa, try out pole dancing or even a boudoir photoshoot.

So here’s a few ideas to suggest for your next date, to change things up a bit.

We’ve still included the classic wine and dine option though, for the traditionalists out there.
