Is Wanted: A Simple Life the same as Wanted down Under?

Wanted: A Simple Life was produced by the same team as Wanted Down Under and follows a similar premise, but whereas Wanted Down Under takes place in Australia and New Zealand, Wanted: A Simple Life takes place within the UK.

The decision to create the show may have been due to the COVID-19 pandemic as the restrictions in place would have made it unfeasible fro Brits to travel to Australia and New Zealand. And it would hardly be worth the trouble to stay there for such a short amount of time.
