Housewives fans, we'll be honest, for a moment there we thought The Real Housewives of London might never happen. After years of rumours, Hayu officially announced that the series was in production at Hayu FanFest in London in October 2024, but then after that? Crickets.

Nothing. No start date, no artwork, no cast rumours, no news. Even Reddit was twiddling its thumbs.

But apparently waiting for Real Housewives of London news is like waiting for a London bus – suddenly they all come at once and, FINALLY, after literally years of waiting, we know for a fact series one is coming and it's going to be big. Big Ben BIG – 'cause London.

While we don't have a start date yet (just a very mysterious 'later this year'), we do know that production commenced in March 2025 with Juliet Angus, Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace, Juliet Mayhew, and Nessie Welschinger taking the helm as the OG London Housewives.

But it appears these stunning socialites will need to make room for another devilish diva, as bosses have confirmed that comedian Katherine Ryan is set to join the show.

And while, sadly, she is not joining as a full-time Housewife, nor a guest or friend, she does have an extremely important role to play on the show; one that, honestly, we reckon only Katherine Ryan is up to.

Hayu has confirmed that Katherine will be following in the footsteps of Andy Cohen and Brian Dowling; yep, the Canadian queen is set to lead The Real Housewives of London reunion special and pass us the popcorn immediately. No, something more British – pass us the scones.

When asked about her new role, Katherine said, 'Pinch me and tell me this is real! As a mega-fan of The Real Housewives franchise – and of Hayu – I can’t wait to get Juliet, Amanda, Karen, Juliet, Panthea and Nessie into the hot seats at the end of the season.'

She continued, 'Hosting The Real Housewives of London reunion show is a dream opportunity for me – and I’m honoured to be trusted to represent the fans and to bring a female perspective to analysing all the emotions, arguments, twists and revelations!'

Sadly, not much else is known about the exciting new edition to the Housewives franchise, but show bosses did recently share the following...

'The Real Housewives of London went into production in March 2025, with six bold, dynamic and successful socialites showcasing the luxury of living in the UK’s iconic capital. Whether hosting lavish dinners, escaping to a Scottish castle, or rebuilding bonds over bottles of champagne – they’re all navigating life, legacy and loyalty. With big personalities, deep histories, and no shortage of designer drama, the path to connection is never simple – but it’s always captivating. London’s calling... and these six ladies have answered.'
