Simon has decided to ban David from pressing Britain’s Got Talent’s golden buzzer this series, to protect the credibility of the programme.

Last year, David pushed the buzzer for Lorraine Bowen, who sang a song about crumble.

And in 2014, David gave his straight-to-semi-finals pass to Christian Pridon.

But Simon Cowell has now warned David not to put through a joke act this year.

A source told The Sun: “It has been made very clear to David that pushing his golden buzzer for someone who doesn’t deserve it will not be looked on kindly by the bosses.”

Simon and David have been clashing on screen since his debut on BGT back in 2012, however Simon insists that the two are still good friends.

Amanda Holden has already used her golden buzzer privilege, which aired in this year’s first episode, for 12 year old Beau Dermott, who sang Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked.
