She shot to fame on TOWIE back in 2011 – turning herself into a household name and becoming the longest-serving cast member before her shock exit in 2022. During her 11-year-reign, Chloe Sims’ turbulent love life contributed to some of the show’s biggest storylines, as fans watched the single mum endure multiple heartbreaks amid her continual search to find The One.

And since leaving Essex behind for a new life in LA, the 42-year-old tells Closer she’s determined to finally break the cycle of being “famously single” and find her American Mr Right.

“Now I’m settled in LA, I’m ready to put myself out there and start dating.” Chloe tells us from her plush Beverly Hills apartment. “I think my husband will be from New York. I seem to have a vibe with New Yorkers. At a push, maybe Texas, as I don’t mind the cowboy vibe either!”

“I want an older guy with a dad bod,” she laughs. “I’m not interested in these sporty guys who want to take me hiking on the first date and hang out at the gym. I want a down-to-earth man with old-school values and good banter who can wine and dine me.”

Since making the leap to Tinseltown, Chloe, who is mum to 18-year-old Maddie, has been filming her OnlyFans reality TV series, House Of Sims, alongside her brother Charlie, 31, his fiancée, Georgia Schultz, and her two sisters, Frankie, 27, and Demi, 26.

And after recently wrapping-up filming for their second series following their Hollywood lives, Chloe – who also serves as a producer on the show – says she’s excited to focus her energy on her love life.

“I’ve put my ego aside and gone on the apps for the first time in my life,” she continues.

“It’s a big thing for me because I’m old-fashioned when it comes to dating, but LA has changed me. It’s tough because men will ask me what I do and I don’t want them to Google me and judge me based on what they see online.

“I get put off when they start asking loads of questions, but I know I have to be open-minded. It’s also a luxury to have the anonymity here. I’d never be able to go on the apps in the UK!”

Chloe was 23 when she gave birth to her daughter Madison, now 18, who she shares with her ex, Matthew. The star faced much speculation over whether her daughter had joined her in the States.

“Maddy loves LA and lives here full time but goes back to visit her dad,” Chloe tells us, before showing us the teen’s beautiful en-suite bedroom, overlooking the LA skyline.

“I get upset when people make comments about me leaving my daughter, as it couldn’t be further from the truth. She lives here with me most of the time. She’s my best friend.”

During her time on TOWIE, the former Playboy model made no secret about her longing to get married – even dressing up as a bride for her wedding-themed 30th birthday bash and making a pact to wed her co-star and pal, James “Diags” Bennewith, if she wasn’t hitched by the time she turned 40.

But since moving to LA, Chloe says marriage is no longer a priority. “I’m not bothered about getting married anymore,” she confesses, adding, “If it happens, it happens.”

Following on-screen romances with co-stars including lothario Mario Falcone, Elliot Wright and Dan Edgar, fans were left gob-smacked when it was revealed she’d had a secret two-year romance with her best pal, Pete Wicks, 35.

And after cutting ties with the heartthrob to preserve her mental health when things turned sour between them, Chloe tells Closer how they secretly made amends during a chance encounter last month.

She reveals, “We bumped into each other at The Beauty Awards in London and had a nice chat. It felt great to be on good terms again and to leave things on a nice note.”

As well as having her family to lean on since moving Stateside, Chloe’s BFF and former TOWIE star, Vas Morgan, 35, lives just a stone’s throw from her Beverly Hills pad. And the reality star admits the pair often rub shoulders with Hollywood’s A-listers and attend parties. She says, “You name them, I’ve met them, but I don’t want to embarrass myself by saying too much as I want to keep being invited!”

In the past Chloe has denied claims she’s undergone facial surgery, admitting her evolving looks are down to Botox and good make-up techniques. The fresh-faced star adds, “I suffered from bulimia for a long time and wasn’t eating when I first joined TOWIE, so my face was really gaunt and skinny.

“Of course my face looks different now and I’m not going to pretend I haven’t had Botox and non-invasive procedures, but I’m 42. Apart from my lips, I’ve had all my fillers dissolved and I look after my skin. I have good genes and I don’t need to spend my time proving that to people who want to think otherwise.”

Despite vowing to make LA her permanent home after first leaving Essex, Chloe admits she has a newfound appreciation of her hometown. She adds, “I do miss home and when I go back, I realise how amazing London is and I feel like I’ve recouped.

“At first I was done with the UK, but since moving away and having a break from it all, I’ve realised I need regular visits back home, so I’m going to buy a place in London so I can have the best of both worlds.

“For now, LA is my home and I see my future here. I’m living my best life, and couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait for all the exciting things coming up – and hopefully find that special someone to share it all with.”
