TOWIE star Amy Childs looked slimmer than ever last week as she was seen running errands in Essex. Now, sources tell Closer the 34-year-old has dropped a whopping 4 stone in total, leaving those close to her ‘extremely concerned’.

‘Friends and family are feeling deeply worried about Amy’s weight loss. She loves the gym and trains three times a week, but it seems like all the recent stress that’s been going on at home has taken its toll,’ our insider says. ‘Since she had the twins, friends think she’s lost as much as 4st. She weighed just over 11st after giving birth and is now around 7st. It’s caused a lot of worry with her family and partner Billy, but Amy has reassured them she’s fine.’

Amy has been under a lot of strain recently. Last month, Closer reported how she had postponed her 2025 wedding to fiancé Billy Delbosq after a string of woes in their personal life. An attempted break-in at the couple’s £1.7m dream home in Essex at the start of May left the TV star ‘terrified’ and ‘shocked’.

It came just days after her mum, Julie, suffered a heart attack and was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery, with Amy saying she felt like her ‘world had been tipped upside down’.

Our source said at the time, ‘Since the break-in and with her mum going through a massive heart attack last month, Amy has decided that it’s too much stress and she needs to put the wedding on hold. She and Billy are very much still together, but they’ve cancelled their plans to focus on other things. The wedding was supposed to be in September, but she feels under way too much pressure. She’s struggling, it’s all super full-on.’

Amy and First Dates star Billy, 42 – who are parents to two-year-old twins Amelia ‘Milly’ and Billy – have been together for five years, after meeting during lockdown in 2020. After briefly splitting two years later, which ‘devastated’ Amy, they got engaged in April 2023.

Amy – who is also mum to daughter Polly, eight, with builder ex Bradley Wright, and son Ritchie, six, with her ex-boyfriend of the same name – recently opened up about her drastic weight loss in an interview.

‘I’m going through so much at the minute that the weight has fallen off me,’ she admitted. ‘People think I’m not eating, but I do eat. To be honest, I do feel better when I’m a bit heavier than I am at the moment. There’s so much going on at the minute – it’s the result of pure stress.’

After being flooded with comments on social media, Amy – who spent two years on TOWIE until 2012, before sensationally returning to the show eight years later – was also keen to address rumours that she has been using weight-loss injections.

‘I just want to be clear that, as I’ve said before, I’m not using weight-loss injections. I did try the jab, but just once about 18 months ago,’ she said. ‘I injected myself and literally a few hours later I threw up three, four times. The nausea stayed with me for three days. And it scared me so I stopped immediately.’

It’s not the first time Amy has spoken about her body. After a dramatic weight loss in 2011, she revealed, ‘I want to get back to how I looked in series two of TOWIE, a bit curvier. I do look a bit straight at the moment.’

Five years later, she said, ‘All I want to say is that I’m a curvy girl and absolutely love my curves. I’m the happiest I have been with my body… So yes, I’m a normal girl and I have put on a bit of weight.’

And after shedding 2st over six months in 2019, she revealed to Closer at the time, ‘I’ve worked so hard and now feel the best I ever have. I felt like I was pregnant for two years, so it’s great to get my body back. I’ve still got a little bit of a belly, but I think all mums should embrace that!’

Back in October, Amy also revealed of her transformation, ‘Feeling proud. Nearly 2st down and WOW I feel the best I have ever felt since having the twins! It’s not a quick fix and it’s taken me months, but I’m starting to feel good in myself again.’

But although it seems Amy has the answers behind her shrinking figure, our source says she’s finding it difficult to gain weight. ‘Amy knows she’s got too slim and has been trying to put on weight, but nothing seems to be working,’ they say.

‘Amy’s friends think the stress of her mum’s illness, delaying her wedding, and worrying about filming for the new series of TOWIE have all fuelled her stress. She’s overthinking what the other cast members will say about her weight loss, which is making her feel more worried, and pals think it’s affecting her appetite.’
