Their will they/won’t they relationship status has been a hot topic for Strictly Come Dancing fans, and last week Vito Coppola seemingly confirmed romance rumours by calling Ellie Leach his “baby” in an Instagram post.
Referring to the Coronation Street actress by the sweet nickname, Vito, 31, wrote, “Just finished another day of rehearsals. Well done to my baby Ellie Leach.”
As well as their sizzling chemistry on the dance floor, fans began speculating that Vito and Ellie, 22, were more than just friends and dance partners when Amanda Abbington – who left the competition a few weeks ago - commented “You are the most beautiful couple” on one of their Instagram posts.
Ellie has been single since her split from boyfriend of five years, Reagan Pettman, in May, while Vito was linked to previous Strictly competitor Helen Skelton, 40, after the pair were spotted on low-key dates in March.
That wasn’t the first time that Vito was rumoured to be in a relationship with a Strictly celeb, as in 2022 he was thought to be seeing presenter Molly Rainford. Prior to that, the Strictly pro dated Italian pop star Arisa, 41 – with whom he was partnered on the Italian version of Strictly in 2021.
