Aliens - 9pm on Film 4
Almost 60 years after Ellen Ripley survived her ordeal, her escape vessel is recovered after drifting about in space. No one believes her story about ‘aliens’ on the planet (annoying!) so up another team go to investigate, with glutton for punishment Ripley tagging along. Still brilliant after all this time.

They’ll be various performances – and Prince Charles will be in the audience with Camilla. Whoop!
Britain's Got Talent - 8pm on ITV1
Now three weeks in, this year’s wannabes would be hard-pushed to beat that eye-watering sword swallowing act in the first week, but we’re sure there are plenty more dancing dogs and belly-exposing grannies to be had.

It’s that time of year when hoards of folk take to the streets to pound the 26.2 miles on London Marathon Day. Gabby Logan presents coverage, and we can amuse ourselves by trying to spot this year’s celeb runners like Chris Evans, TOWIE’s Bobby Norris and Chris Chittell off Emmerdale.
Louis Theroux - Drinking to Oblivion - 9pm on BBC Two
Alcohol addiction is no laughing matter, as Louis Theroux finds to his cost in this hard-hitting one-off where he meets patients at a specialist liver centre at King’s College Hospital in London. What effect is drinking to the point of self-destruction having on the lives of their families? Louis finds out, hopefully before it’s too late…
Miss Congeniality - 5pm on Channel 5
It’s chick-flick central on the box this week (not that we’re complaining). In this, Sandra Bullock is FBI agent Gracie Hart, who must go undercover in the Miss United States beauty pageant to prevent the event being bombed. How utterly fortunate that she is, well, beautiful and can carry this mission off, no problemo! Oh, but actually – she is something of a tomboy and is meant to be a bit of a plain Jane ‘mannish’ type.
Maid in Manhattan - 1:30pm on Channel 4
Jennifer Lopez is Marisa Ventura – a single mom working as a maid in a flashy Manhattan hotel. Along comes Christopher Marshall (Ralph Fiennes), a dashing chap who mistakenly thinks she is a guest. A sort of Pretty Woman situation arises – where when her true identity is revealed, they find they are worlds apart but sort of loved up now. What can you do?
What To Expect When You're Expecting - 3pm on Channel 5
Cheryl guest stars in this as a talent show judge – though blink and you’ll miss it. Following the lives of five couples as they experience the thrills of popping out a baby, it stars the likes of Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Matthew Morrisson and Chace Crawford and is as chick-flick as they come.
