“Since leaving the cast of TOWIE I have been very fortunate to receive numerous offers of work, and this is the opportunity I’ve been looking for that will allow me to explore my cultural roots while maintaining all the glitz and glamour that I love.

“I’m having such an amazing time with Ross at the moment, and this next chapter promises to be even better, full of surprises and magical moments that I’m sure viewers will also enjoy sharing with us”

The Apprentice star Solomon will also appear

Also starring in the show is Solomon Akhtar, who appeared on the latest series of BBC One’s The Apprentice.

Solomon has promised no to let anything get in his way of having it all. He said: “When it comes to girls I’m like a kid in a candy store and I can’t decide which candy I want to eat!

“If I like someone, I’m going to do whatever it takes and if there’s a guy in the way, it’s just a guy in the way. It’s not going to be too much trouble.”

Desi Rascals starts on 22 July at 8pm on Sky 1.
