Stacey, played by Lacey Turner, is making a comeback after almost four years away and, if the trailer for her first scenes is anything to go by, she’s already causing trouble.

In the clip, Stacey’s cousin Kat Moon catches a glimpse of her on a busy high street and tries to get her attention from the bus.

Kat goes back to the square and tells Max who she’s seen. Understandably, Max appears shocked. After all, she is the wife of his dead son who he had an affair with.

One person who doesn’t seem to be happy about Stacey’s return is Kat’s husband Alfie. The trailer shows him arguing with Kat about it, before opening the door to a nervous looking Stacey.

The scenes are set to air early this month, and Lacey, 25, spoke last month about her return to the show.

She said: “I may have left Eastenders over three years ago, but the show has always been in my heart, as has Stacey, and she has never really left my side.

Lacey has said that she is excited to see what they future holds for Stacey

“I am so excited about returning and seeing what future holds for her. It’s been a while since I set foot in Albert Square and I am looking forward to coming home.”

The show’s executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has also revealed his excitement about Stacey’s return, saying: “Stacey is one of Eastenders best-loved characters, played by one of television’s finest actors and I am tremendously excited that Lacey has decided to return home to Walford.

“Stacey’s last time on the square was iconic. But that was just the first act. There is so much more to come for Stacey – and her return will send ripples of drama through the square.”
