Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will return for the show reboot, which will see executive producer Paul Scheuring heading up the programme.

The new 10 episode series will see Miller and Purcell reprise their roles as super brainy prison breaker Michael Scofield, and his brawny brother Lincoln Burrows.

According to descriptions, the new series will be a ‘bit of a sequel’ that will look at how Miller and Purcell’s characters have developed several years after the last series - The Final Break.

But, as fans of the show will know, Michael was actually killed off at the end of the last series - leading viewers to question how show makers are going to explain the new situation.

And according to insiders - Fox are going to ignore that little plot snag line entirely.

But according to Fox bosses, writer Scheuring has created a ‘very detailed incredible story for why these characters become relevant again and why they’re back.’

Prison Break ran from 2005 till 2009, with die hard fans of the show following the characters from plotting their escape to life on the run.

We can’t wait to see what this next season has in store (and so see Wentworth back on our screens).
