Former Pussycat Doll singer Nicole, 36, revealed that Simon never actually spoke to her about her exit, despite the fact he gave her the job.
She told The Sun: “I was hurt they [the show’s bosses] didn’t recognise the hard work I put into it. I never spoke to Simon and he never talked to me about it.

“I don’t know if he understood the hard work I put into it. I loved my job and I’m proud of the work I did on it.”
Nicole admitted that last year was to her final appearance on the judging panel anyway, as she wants to focus on her music career again.

Meanwhile, former finalist Olly Murs recently discussed the new ‘wildcard’ round, which aims to find contestants with the ‘fun factor’.
The cheeky Essex boy, 30, said he doesn’t mind what kind of people appear on the show, just as long as they don’t discover the next Olly.
He said: “As long as they don’t find the another me, they can fin whoever they want.”

Olly also stressed that, while so far the attention has been on who will be on the judging panel, it should be all about the panel.
He continued: “Simon isn’t really bothered about what people say about the judging, he’s more bothered about finding top talent.
“Like I say every year: it isn’t about the quality of the judging panel, it’s about the talent.”
