Hollyoaks fans were left open-mouthed when twisted serial killer Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle) made a shock return to the Channel 4 show.
One of the most frightening soap villains of all time ever, Silas was last seen in summer 2012 when he escaped from a psychiatric unit and went on the run.
And now it seems as if he’s intent on hunting down the latest serial killer to terrorise Hollyoaks Village.
Yup, you guessed it; he’s after the Gloved Hand Killer - aka Lindsey Butterfield.
In those shocking comeback scenes, we watched as Silas paid a visit to Trevor Royle (Greg Wood) in prison, in a desperate bid to seek answers over the spate of deaths at Dee Valley Hospital.
It quickly transpired that Silas had been exchanging letters with Trevor for some time, under the name of "Mr E Mann”.
Yup, “Mystery Man” - he’s just so sneaky, isn’t he?
But, as viewers already knew, Trevor was completely innocent - leaving Silas desperate for answers.
Does this mean he’s set to return to Hollyoaks Village in a bid to track down the Gloved Hand Killer himself? And, if he figures out that Lindsey is the one wearing those blue gloves, will he team up with her?
Or will he bump her off himself? After all, she’s just his type when it comes to victims - and he surely wants to protect his title as ‘Most Evil Serial Killer Ever’!
Sophie Austin, who plays Lindsey, told the Daily Star, “I hope there [are] going to be some explosive scenes between the two…
“It’s going to be really interesting because it’s going to be another chapter to the story.”
But while Sophie wouldn’t confirm or deny that we will see Lindsey and Silas becoming partners in crime, she teased, “Without giving too much away there are some really amazing scenes.”
The actress, in a interview not long ago, also hinted that her character’s days are numbered.
She told The Daily Star: "For her, it's all about self-preservation now and keeping sister Kim from spilling the beans. We start to see Lindsey unravel. Whether she can keep it together remains to be seen," the actress explained.
"I've been playing Lindsey for three years. It was a massive character change for me. I've been really lucky that her character before was the girl next door, but now Lindsey is sneaky and evil.”
Sophie added that she would love to see Lindsey get her comeuppance, insisting she’s “hurt too many people” to continue living life as a free woman.
Eep!
Meanwhile Jeff Rawle, who plays Silas, previously told Unreality TV: “That man is never going to be redeemed. There is no way back for him now.
“I think he’s probably out to destroy himself.”
He added cryptically: “I love the idea of a gloved killer on the loose and I’m sure the writers have something excellent up their sleeve.”
Do you think Silas will kill off Lindsey?
