The Gloved Hand Killer’s reign of terror began in January 2015, when Rick Spencer (played by Victor Gardener) was killed in hospital.

Since then, psychotic Will Savage (James Atherton), Mariam Andrews (Helen Lederer) and Phoebe McQueen (Mandeep Gill) have also fallen prey to the soap’s evil slayer.

And now it has been confirmed that the Gloved Hand Killer is set to strike again and claim three more victims, as part of a special week of 20th anniversary Hollyoaks episodes.

But these attacks will proved to be the murderer’s undoing, as the Gloved Hand Killer’s identity WILL be revealed in One Killer Week.

And, as it turns out, it might not be someone who’s in the show at the moment.

With several characters rumoured to be making a return to the soap for the big reveal (which will take place the week commencing the 19th October 2015), it seems as if it the Gloved Hand Killer could remove their gloves (and hood) to reveal a face we haven’t seen for a very long time.

Let’s check out the rumours, shall we?

  1. Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle)

Before the Gloved Hand Killer - who has killed a total of five Hollyoaks residents so far - the people of Hollyoaks were terrorised by Silas Blissett, who murdered four victims in his anti-women campaign from 2010 – 2012.

he is, at present, tucked away in a psychiatric institution… or so we have been led to believe, at least.

Could Silas have broken free once again? And could he be the REAL Gloved Hand Killer?

Speaking with Unreality TV, Jeff Rawle has teased the possibility of a return, saying: “I would [consider returning to Hollyoaks]! I had such an enjoyable time on it, and I was very sad to say goodbye to everyone on the show.

“So, never say ‘never’. And he’s still out there, somewhere, isn’t he? That man is never going to be redeemed. There is no way back for him now.

“I think he’s probably out to destroy himself.”

He added cryptically: “I love the idea of a gloved killer on the loose and I’m sure the writers have something excellent up their sleeve.”

Throw in the fact that he made a brief return to coach fellow killer Will Savage (James Atherton) (whom the Gloved Hand Killer later bumped off), and that Silas also wore black gloves for his dark deeds, and you have a recipe for VERY SUSPICIOUS INDEED.

Could Silas really be spilling blood in the village again?

  1. James ‘Jambo’ Bolton (Will Mellor)

Jambo was famous for bringing Hollyoaks fans some light-hearted comic relief back in the day - but he left the village under a very dark cloud indeed.

He lost Dawn, the girl he loved more than anything in the world, to leukaemia. And he was heartbroken.

Unable to deal with the constant memories and reminders, her vowed to leave the village and never return.

But could he have changed his mind?

And will he be back for One Killer Week?

Well, Will Mellor certainly hasn’t ruled it out!

When asked if her would return to the show, he explained: “I always consider everything. No decision is ever easy. Every decision I make is with my family in mind. I have to make sure that everything I do will give me longevity.

“With Hollyoaks, I will always be grateful and thankful for what they’ve given me. I would always look at an approach. I did do a guest appearance in 2004 when they did a Scrooge episode.

“It wasn’t clear if it was a dream, or if he was a ghost. Jambo’s not even dead! But I just wanted to work with Nick again and have a bit of fun.”

Hmm… we wonder if that means yes?

  1. Grace Black (Tamara Wall)

Yup, the Female Boss is back.

Hollyoaks' Grace Black will return to screens when her partner Trevor Royle tracks her down - and, despite Dylan’s death still hanging between them, the pair decide to give their romance another try.

But Grace will only give Trevor another chance if he leaves the village with her to start a new life with her.

Why all the cloak and dagger, eh?

We know that Grace is famed for being a ruthless gangster - after all, murder, blackmail and revenge are all part of her repertoire - but we do know that she is still dealing with the grief of her miscarriage.

And we know that she hates pretty much everyone in the village… especially Mercedes McQueen.

Could she have turned back to the dark side, donned a pair of gloves, and set up shop as the Gloved Hand Killer?

  1. Rory ‘Finn’ Finnegan (James Redmond)

James Redmond has filmed a brief return appearance to tie in with the Channel 4 soap's 20th anniversary celebrations.

We don’t think that cheeky chappy Finn will have all too much time to be murdering people, however, as he’s back in the village for one reason; to watch his old friend Tony Hutchinson renew his wedding vows with Diane O'Connor (Alex Fletcher).

Or so we think...

  1. Myra McQueen (Nicole Barber-Lane)

Myra McQueen has been through a lot - in fact, you might say that her life has been a total train wreck (see what we did there?) up until this point.

From the death of her daughter Carmel, to the supposed murder of Mercedes, to the devastating end of honorary McQueen, Phoebe, Myra has more possibilities as a character than ever before.

So it makes sense that her Nicole Barber-Lane is back on the Hollyoaks set.

Yup, the actress is all set to reprise the role of Myra, complete with Spanish toy boy Diego, played by Venezuelan actor Juan Pablo Yepez.

She told Digital Spy: “The McQueen family have been going through lots of different tragedies, but there’s one where Myra realises that she can’t not be there. She knows that Nana McQueen can cope with some things, but now Myra just feels that she needs to come back, put her arms around the family and make sure that they’re all okay.”

On what differences we can expect to see from her character, Nicole continued:

“You’ll see that Myra is now trying to keep hold of her new-found youth, attraction and the magic that she feels with Diego. She’s a bit of a changed woman when she comes back, as he’s brought something to life in her.”

Hmm… that doesn’t sound too murderous to us.

Plus we don’t expect to see Myra back on our screens until November 2015, so she’ll miss One Killer Week all together.

Guess it’s back to the drawing board, eh?
