From Celine McQueen to Kim Butterfield, there’s a LOT of Gloved Hand Killer suspects - so who’s the REAL Hollyoaks murderer?

The Gloved Hand Killer’s reign of terror began in January 2015, when Rick Spencer (played by Victor Gardener) was killed in hospital.

Since then, psychotic Will Savage (James Atherton), Mariam Andrews (Helen Lederer) and Phoebe McQueen (Mandeep Gill) have also fallen prey to the soap’s evil slayer.

And now, at last, we’re just two days away from one of Hollyoaks' biggest ever revelations.

Yup, the evil Gloved Hand Killer is going to be unmasked at 7pm on Wednesday 21st October.

But, with six murders (so far!) under their belt, who could be behind the 10-month reign of terror at Dee Valley Hospital?

Well, while we’re still in the dark, we’ve narrowed it down to just seven suspects.

Now it’s up to all the armchair detectives out there to place their bets; which of these do YOU think is the Gloved Hand Killer?

  1. Kim Butterfield

Ah, Kim Butterfield.

The unhinged nurse is no stranger to compulsive lying, scheming, obsessive behaviour, stalking, and general sociopathy.

And, with her mysterious diaries keeping everyone on edge, we can’t help but wonder if she’s maybe penned an entry or two about her secret murderous hobby.

Then again, wouldn’t it be too obvious if Kim was the Gloved Hand Killer?

  1. Celine McQueen

Sweet, shy, and utterly innocent-looking, Celine doesn’t fit the profile of your usual serial killer.

But, then again, that’s the genius of it.

After all, she does get very passionate when she’s ranting about fate and destiny - and she’s been caught rifling through the hospital drug supplies.

Sure, she covered her tracks by saying she’d been taking appetite suppressants… but she could just be a VERY convincing liar.

Plus there’s the fact that the latest photos of the Gloved Hand Killer seems to show that the murderer has a head full of dark hair.

We’re onto you, Celine.

  1. Holly Cunningham

Holly Cunningham doesn’t have dark hair, so we’re not too sure how likely this one is… nut we DO know that the troubled sixth-former was at the hospital when plenty of the murders took place.

Throw in the fact that Hollyoaks boss Bryan Kirkwood has teased that the story will 'take off in a direction no-one will see coming' and we have a recipe for a BIG soap twist.

Could the show’s first ever baby have grown up to become the most notorious serial killer, just in time for the 20th anniversary?

And, if so, how will Carol react when she realises that the Gloved Hand Killer is her own daughter?

  1. Lindsey Butterfield

Kim may be the most obviously crazy member of the Butterfield family, but her sister Lindsey has her fair share of personal demons.

For example, there’s the fact that she was responsible for her sister Kath’s brain damage. And let’s not forget all that business with Doctor Browning’s body.

Plus she has easy access to the victims (she’s one of the hospital’s regular staff), she has dark hair, AND she’s kept her head down for months.

Could all the crazy behaviour of her co-workers have been nothing more than red herrings?

And could she be the ultimate curveball killer?

  1. Tegan Lomax

Tegan is a pro when it comes to kidnapping AND husband-stealing - and there’s no point denying that the Gloved Hand Killer’s targets have PERFECTLY coincided with her feuds in the village.

Think Mariam Andrews and Diane O’Connor if you don’t believe us.

Sure, Dr S'Avage has ruled her out of his list of potential suspects - but we do know that the Gloved Hand Killer has him in her sights.

Could the good doctor have made a horrible mistake?

  1. Silas Blissett

Before the Gloved Hand Killer - who has killed a total of five Hollyoaks residents so far - the people of Hollyoaks were terrorised by Silas Blissett, who murdered four victims in his anti-women campaign from 2010 – 2012.

He is, at present, tucked away in a psychiatric institution… or so we have been led to believe, at least.

Could Silas have broken free once again? And could he be the REAL Gloved Hand Killer?

Speaking with Unreality TV, Jeff Rawle has teased the possibility of a return, saying: “I would [consider returning to Hollyoaks]! I had such an enjoyable time on it, and I was very sad to say goodbye to everyone on the show.

“So, never say ‘never’. And he’s still out there, somewhere, isn’t he? That man is never going to be redeemed. There is no way back for him now.

“I think he’s probably out to destroy himself.”

He added cryptically: “I love the idea of a gloved killer on the loose and I’m sure the writers have something excellent up their sleeve.”

Throw in the fact that he made a brief return to coach fellow killer Will Savage (James Atherton) (whom the Gloved Hand Killer later bumped off), and that Silas also wore black gloves for his dark deeds, and you have a recipe for VERY SUSPICIOUS INDEED.

Could Silas really be spilling blood in the village again? Or, at the very least, could he be coaching the REAL Gloved Hand Killer though their reign of terror?

  1. Mercedes McQueen

We’d never have pointed the finger at Mercedes McQueen originally, but she HAS got form when it comes to scheming and twisted behaviour.

Plus, you know, there’s the fact that a) she has dark hair (just like the Gloved Hand Killer appears to), and b) Jennifer Metcalfe reckons she did it.

Speaking to Closer Online at the Inside Soap Awards, gorgeous Jen said: “I think it was me!

“Well, Mercedes has done everything else, hasn’t she? So I wouldn’t be surprised if it was her!”
