Fans of The Great British Bake Off, rejoice - our fave silver haired judges are planning to stick around until the bitter end. That's a whole lotta Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood to look forward to!
Paul shared the good news during interviews at the Pride of Britain Awards this week, insisting that the duo will "never stop" their roles on the BBC Two contest.
"Mary will never stop. [And] I'll never stop. I'll carry on doing it."
Forever, yes? We'd love it if you guys stuck around forever - but, as Paul rightly points out, the show will only go on for as long as the people want it. And boy, do the people want it.
"I dunno, It's ten people in a tent baking. I find [its success] odd. "
"It's good because it's simple, it doesn't try to be something it isn't, and that comes down to the judging from Mary and myself."
When asked why their judging style was different from, say, the folks at Strictly Come Dancing or the X Factor, Paul admitted that it's down to the fact he and Mary are keen to be "constructive, not destructive".
"We don't do it for effect, we just say it as it is - if it's good, it's good. But it's constructive, not destructive, and that's the good thing about it. We don't just go, 'It's rubbish' and walk away."
Amazing. We can't wait for many more episodes with Paul and Mary…
The Great British Bake Off continues next Tuesday (October 15) at 8pm on BBC Two.
