The BBC has refused to apologise to Great British Bake Of's Diana Beard after she was wrongly accused of sabotaging THAT Baked Alaska - and now furious daughter Sarah has slammed show bosses for exploiting her mother.

Deciding to speak up about how her mum was portrayed on the show, Sarah claimed that the show was deliberately edited to imply that her mother had removed rival Iain Watters’ Baked Alaska from the freezer, which led to his disqualification after throwing the dessert in the bin.
The episode failed to show her return the pudding to the freezer seconds later, which would have proven her innocence in the #bingate melting scandal.
Following a tirade of online abuse and criticism of the 69-year-old, who was nicknamed 'Dirty Diana' by the viewing public, Sarah has now claimed that her mother was “done up like a Christmas turkey” by the show.
She told the Sunday Mirror: “She has been sacrificed on the altar of ratings. To exploit an old lady is shameful.”
The Baked Alaska incident has since received over 800 complaints to the BBC and Ofcom, but the BBC has failed to apologise to Diana, who has since left the show due to ill health after losing her sense of smell and taste.
A spokesman said: “She hasn’t asked for or needed one. We don’t feel that she’s been misrepresented.”
However many, including last year’s finalist Ruby Tandoh, have defended the pensioner.
Ruby tweeted: “Shame on the online lynch mobs and on the show’s editors for letting her Bake Off dreams end in a witch-hunt.”
Meanwhile Diana and Iain, 31, have insisted that there are no hard feelings between them.
They will be reunited in the series finale.
