Everyone loves Mary Poppins. Because of her we all know that a spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down, and who can forget the words to Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious?
Well, fans of the 1964 film will be DELIGHTED to know that a sequel is now reportedly in the works.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that the second movie will be set 20 years after the Julie Andrews original, which told the story of a magical nanny who took two young children on marvellous adventures.
It is not yet known who will be cast as the iconic Mary Poppins character, but according to reports director Rob Marshall will take lead on the project.
He is know for directing hugely successful Disney blockbusters, such as Into The Woods and Pirates Of The Caribbean: One Stranger Tides.
Hairspray and Smash composers Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman will be responsible for the music in latest instalment.
Along with Mary Poppins, Disney is also working on remakes of The Jungle Book, Aladdin and a live action movie of Beauty and the Beast.
