We all remember little Ben Geller, don’t we?

The cheeky son of Ross (David Schwimmer) and his lesbian ex-wife, Carol (Jane Sibbett), Ben was born right at the end of the very first season of Friends.

His name came about when Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) donned a janitors outfit with a nematic reading “Ben”, inspiring Ross and Carol’s partner, Susan, to finally agree on a name they both liked.

We watched Ben grow from a chubby-cheeked baby into a devious little prankster, getting his ‘Fun Aunt Rachel’ (Jennifer Aniston) into all sorts of trouble with his dad.

Who could forget this iconic moment, eh?

But then, all of a sudden, the spiky-haired tyke disappeared from our screens completely - leaving many to wonder where Ross’s beloved firstborn had gone.

Well, there’s a pretty heartbreaking conspiracy theory about Ross’s relationship with his firstborn, which you can read here.

But, in the meantime, whatever happened to the little kid who played Ben?

Well, Cole Sprouse - alongside his twin brother, Dylan, landed a starring role in Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack and Cody - earning them a sweet $40K an episode. Each.

Unsurprisingly, they went on to star in a spin-off show titled The Suite Life on Deck, as well as making cameo appearances in Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and a whole host of other Disney shows.

However Cole decided to take a break from acting to focus on his studies.

And, along with his degree in history and archaeology (Ross would be so proud!), he has a whole different look, too!

Check it out:

We’d never have recognised him!

Whether he decides to pursue archaeology, acting, or modelling, we imagine Cole has a very bright future ahead of him.
