Following Katie’s shock death, Andy’s loved ones have been concerned as he refused to return to work or discuss her funeral.

Andy’s brother Robert has been struggling with guilt over his part in Katie’s gruesome demise, and things haven’t been easy for Aaron Livesy.

Aaron is overcome with guilt

In a special hour-long episode, Aaron realises he can’t avoid Katie’s funeral at risk of letting mum Chas down. Consumed with his own guilt, Aaron tells Robert that he wants to tell the truth about how Katie died.

But viewers will see a heartbroken Andy grab a bottle of whiskey and head out in his car. As he’s driving at high speed, Aaron and Robert spot him.

At the quarry, Andy, believing he has nothing left worth living for, gets frighteningly close to the edge.

Will Aaron and Robert be able to stop Andy before it's too late?

Speaking of the dramatic scenes, Kelvin Fletcher, who plays him, told Radio Times: “These scenes were draining to film. But they’re everything I hoped and anticipated they would be from first learning about [Sammy Winward, who played Katie] departure.

“Hopefully I’ve done a good job with what is a tough subject.”

But will Aaron and Robert manage to get to Andy before it’s too late?

These scenes will air a week on Thursday on ITV.
