Earlier this month, viewers watched as Kush turned to Stacey for comfort following a fight with Shabnam.
The pair locked lips, before Lacey Turner’s character confirmed the real reason that Shabnam had sparred with Kush: she was terrified that her baby secret would be revealed.
After hearing this, kush rushed off to make things right with Shabnam, leaving her delighted when he asked her to marry him - and Stacey miserable that the man of her dreams was no longer available.
Now Stacey, as Shabnam’s best friend, has been elected to help with preparations for her engagement party.
But, when she finds herself alone with Kush (Davood Ghadami), she finds that she cannot resist his charms.
As they lean in for a kiss, a tearful Shabnam (Rakhee Thakrar) walks in after an argument with her father.
But has she seen anything? And, if she has, what will she do?
An EastEnders insider told the Daily Star: “Kush can’t help his attraction to Stacey and she feels the same about him. Every time they find themselves alone they get swept up in the moment.
“Shabnam will be devastated. She’s been so wrapped up in everything that’s happened since news of her secret daughter came out that she is not seeing what’s going on right under her nose.”
Poor Shabnam - we really wanted her to find her happy ever after this time.
