It never rains, but it pours.
Yup, fans of BBC One’s EastEnders have been left in shock after learning that they will lose two of their favourite characters on the same day.
So who’s going?
Well, it has now been confirmed that Maddy Hill and Himesh Patel have quit their roles in the popular soap.
Which means that, yes, we will lose Nancy Carter and Tamwar Masood on the same day.
Sob!
Speaking to Digital Spy, Maddy said: “It was time for Nancy to take a break from her family and me from EastEnders after having a wonderful time working on the show.
“I was surrounded by a terrific team both on and off camera and I shall miss seeing them all on a daily basis, especially the fabulous Carter family.”
Himesh added: “I’m looking forward to new challenges, perhaps on the stage or behind the camera.
“Whatever awaits me, I’ll miss my family at EastEnders immensely – they’ve watched me grow from boy to man and supported me every step of the way.”
As fans of the soap will know, Nancy and Tamwar were one of the cutest couples to ever grace Albert Square.
However they recently split up on screen, leaving many ‘Nanwar’ shippers devastated.
Does this mean that they have a chance of getting back together - and leaving Walford for a happily ever after?
Or should we continue to expect tears and misery from Nanwar, right up until they leave to go their own separate ways?
Either way, the pair have filmed their final scenes, so it remains to be seen how they will conclude their time on EastEnders.
