Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) has had a difficult time of it lately, bless her.
Not only has she been forced to deal with her husband’s ex wife, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) coming back from the dead, but she’s also had to cope with the fact that Kathy came with a LOT of baggage.
Particularly in the form of her villainous husband, Gavin Sullivan (Paul Nicholas), who went on to kidnap and abuse Phil (Steve McFadden) AND threaten to burn down the Mitchell house.
Throw in the fact that he’s actually Sharon’s real dad and you have a recipe for serious emotional trauma.
‘Ello princess.
But could Sharon be in for ANOTHER big shock?
Ever since that same Halloween episode aired, fans have been busily speculating that Cora Cross (Ann Mitchell) is Sharon’s real mum.
Forget the fact that Shazza already tracked own her birth mother, Carol Hanley, (Sheila White) back in the 1980s; as dedicated fans will know already, Carol - now dead - had no maternal feelings for her alleged daughter whatsoever.
Maybe Carol was simply helping a friend to cover up the truth?
After all, following THAT recent moment between Cora and Gavin, it’s clear that the pair of them have a past… and a dark secret to keep.
But could it really be as huge as them sharing a secret daughter? A daughter whom has been living under Cora’s nose on Albert Square for months… without ANY interaction between the pair of them?
Fans certainly seem to think so.
Hmm. We currently know very little about Cora’s past and her real connections to Walford – and Gavin has said that he has several connections with Walford residents.
And we also know that he has a sister who disowned him in the past… just saying.
That's where we'll be putting OUR money, anyway!
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what EastEnders bosses have in store for us next, won’t we?
