EastEnders favourites Kat and Alfie look over the moon (ha, see what we did?) as they cuddle their newborn twins in an episode of the BBC1 soap to be screened this evening.

The happy scenes come after last night's drama, when the Queen Vic landlady went into labour weeks before her due date.

At least she was in the right place at the right time, eh?

Alfie (Shane Ritchie) rushed to be by his wife's side and hold her hand as she pants and puffs her way through what seemed a difficult labour.

But, as these new photos show, there will be a happy ending for the couple - their twin boys look absolutely adorable, don't they?

Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie will apparently name the tots Bert and Ernie after the famous Sesame Street characters.

We bet the little lads will be well loved by the couple, who already have 4-year-old son Tommy, in spite of their recent money woes.
