As fans of EastEnders will be well aware, the show’s anniversary in February 2015 saw us treated to a WEEK’S worth of incredible live episodes.

And it’s now been confirmed that soap bosses have something similar planned for Christmas and New Year - yay!

Speaking on Gaby Roslin’s BBC Radio London show, Dominic Treadwell-Collins said: “We’ve kind of pushed the boat out this Christmas.

“Normally, EastEnders looks at Christmas Day on its own but what we’ve tried to do this year is look at it the way we looked at Live Week back in February over that whole period, so from Christmas Eve to January and beyond, the stories keep on coming, the twists keep on coming.

“There are some really, really big surprises that we haven’t revealed and we’re not going to reveal – you’re going to have to watch live."

We’ve decided to sit down and answer all of your questions about EastEnders Christmas 2015 - just to make things easier for you when you’re planning your festive TV schedule!

EASTENDERS CHRISTMAS SPOILERS: WHAT DO WE KNOW ALREADY?

Dominic Treadwell-Collins revealed: “It’s an hour-long on Christmas Day but then the action keeps going through to Boxing Day.

“You’ve got Danny Dyer’s stag, it then goes into Mick and Linda’s wedding, a lot of secrets blowing up between Vincent and Kim, you’ve got Mitchells, you’ve got Beales, Kat and Alfie come back and then there’s a massive story for Stacey Slater.

“Plus, someone will die on Christmas Day.

“We haven’t revealed it to anyone, there will be a surprise death.”

WHEN WILL STACEY SLATER GIVE BIRTH?

Stacey (Lacey Turner) will give birth to her baby on Christmas Eve - although it remains to be seen whether Martin or Shabnam learn that Kush is the father.

The birth will trigger a huge storyline for Stacey, focusing on postpartum psychosis.

Read all about it here.

WHO WILL BE INVOLVED IN THE CHRISTMAS DAY CAR CRASH?

We know that shockwaves will be felt through Albert Square on Christmas Day - and it seems as if that will be due, in part, to an explosive car crash.

And, yes, this car crash will involve both the Beale and Mitchell families.

Read more about it here.

WHICH CHARACTERS WILL COME BACK FOR THE CHRISTMAS DAY EPISODES?

It’s official; Kat will be dropping in to pay a surprise visit to Stacey, Martin, Lily and the baby.

But, despite telling them that Alfie is in Spain, her wayward hubby soon turns up and confronts her about leaving – and makes a big decision about their future.

Eep.

WHO WILL DIE IN EASTENDERS ON CHRISTMAS DAY?

It’s already been hinted that [spoiler alert] returning character Charlie Slater is set to kick the bucket over Christmas, but we also know that Arthur ‘Fatboy’ Chubbs (Ricky Norwood) is set to leave the show over the festive period.

Vincent (Richard Blackwood) is also rumoured to be in for a world of trouble, although we have a feeling that this is going to focus more on his obsession with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) than his impending death.

And it’s also worth mentioning that Bobby Beale and Denny Rickman have been viciously eyeing each other up for weeks now…

Perhaps Albert Square’s resident killer could be set to make Sharon’s son his next victim, eh?

WILL MICK AND LINDA GET MARRIED?

We already know that Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda (Kellie Bright)’s wedding will be dogged by drama when they attempt to say their vows on New Year’s Day.

With Dean (Matt Di Angelo) determined to stop the wedding, it’s been revealed that he and his brother will become embroiled in a vicious underwater fight when they plunge into a nearby lake.

But how do they end up in there? And will both of them make it out alive?

As Danny Dyer told The Mirror: “It’s EastEnders – there’s never a happy ending.”

Sob - we really wanted Mick and his beloved L to have a happy day!

WILL WE LEARN MORE ABOUT STACEY SLATER’S MYSTERY KEY?

Ah, Stacey’s key; the mystery has raged on ever since March 2014, but we seem to finally be making progress with it.

Jean recently revealed that the key unlocks a box containing evidence of her late husband’s secret life - and his secret family.

Fans have already seen that mysterious newcomer Kyle has a very similar key to Stacey, so it now seems likely that he is part of Brian's other family.

Could Stacey about to bag herself a new half-brother? Or could the key still be linked to the mystery of Kat’s missing son…?

WHO IS BELINDA SLATER - AND WHY IS SHE BACK IN WALFORD?

Carli Norris is set to make a special guest stint in EastEnders as a re-cast Belinda Slater in the early New Year. She is the latest Slater to re-visit The Square as part of Kat and Alfie’s big return to Walford, which will set the scene of their new BBC One drama.

Carli says: “Becoming one of the Slater’s is an absolute dream, especially to be part of such a big and important storyline. It’s brilliant to be working with Shane and Jessie!”

Last seen at Kat and Alfie’s wedding, in Christmas 2003, Belinda is now back at another pivotal moment in her sisters life. But Belinda and Kat have always had a fiery relationship. They both have big personalities and aren’t afraid to say what they think so their re-union is unlikely to run smooth.

But sisters being sisters, will they see past each other’s faults and manage to get their relationship back on track for the sake of the family?
