As all viewers of #CorrieLive will know, Callum Logan was bludgeoned to death when Kylie (Paula Lane) walked in on him attacking Sarah (Tina O’Brien).
And, despite many Coronation Street fans hoping that it was all a big fake-out, it quickly transpired that the villainous drug dealer was actually dead.
Especially when, you know, they bundled him up in a children’s blanket and dumped him unceremoniously under the cobbles.
Now, in an interview with The Mirror, Sean Ward - who plays Callum - has revealed that he’s been left feeling a little heartbroken about his character’s demise.
Speaking about the moment he learned he was going to die, Sean explained: “I got called in for a meeting with Stuart Blackburn, the producer, and I thought I was in trouble. He looked at me and said ‘I’m going to kill him’.
“I was excited. Initially I didn’t feel that upset because just before the meeting I thought they might try to make Callum good and I didn’t want that."
However, while he was initially excited about the news, the realisation that he’d have to leave the soap for good soon set in.
And Sean was left feeling absolutely ‘gutted’.
The actor, who is dating former Corrie star Georgia May Foote, said: “I’m going to be gutted to leave Corrie, but at the same time it’s right for the character.
“I hope it was a big shock, you want viewers to have a reaction to it. Some people might be gutted to see the end of him and some will be glad to see the back of him. It’s been the craziest and best year of my life.”
Will you be sad to see Callum go? Or do you think he got his just desserts?
