Over the past few weeks, Corrie viewers have watched as symptoms from Nick’s brain injury have started to come back.

The former restaurant owner has found it increasingly difficult to control his temper and emotions… but, at the same time, he has been trying desperately to avoid facing the situation.

As a result, he has yet to tell his fiancée Carla (Alison King), what is going on.

But his lack of communication could be set to have dire consequences for the couple.

In upcoming scenes, we will watch as Nick (Ben Price) attempts to make a cup of tea.

As he does so, he accidentally pours boiling water on his hand.

The pain of the incident causes Nick to lose his temper, and the former restaurant owner throws his mug at the wall in a violent rage.

However it seems as if his actions will have shocking consequences.

In new images released by ITV, Carla can be seen bleeding after the incident.

And, touching the cut on her face with a confused expression, it seems as if Carla could be about to become very afraid of her husband-to-be.

As viewers already know, Carla has been keeping her own secret from Nick; she had a one night stand with Robert Preston - and, to make matters even worse, her arch-nemesis Tracy (Kate Ford) knows ALL about it.

Which means that, despite Carla giving in to Tracy’s blackmail demands, Nick is bound to find out about her infidelity sooner rather than later.

And, according to actor Ben Price, the shock could cause Nick to do something he really doesn’t want to do.

He told The Metro: "He gets stressed and stress brings it on.

"Then you have the merger of what Carla’s done – you know, sleeping with the chef and all the stuff with the Bistro.

"Nick’s going to get all that. Plus the brain injury – oh god, the poor guy’s going to be in a mess!"

He added: “The brain injury gives him that side that you can’t lock away.

“He’s always on the edge – a bit like the Hulk.”

Does this mean that Nick will get violent with the woman he loves?

Well, Ben wouldn’t share too many details.

However, the actor, whose character sold the Bistro to Robert as a result of Tracy Barlow's blackmailing, added: "Yeah, so I don’t think it’s going to be happy for him for a while.

"He’ll just be in a dark room for quite a while…"

Hmm. A dark room like, say, a prison cell?

After all, we know that Alison King is set to leave the soap permanently this year.

Could the events at her wedding be the driving force behind her departure?

Well, while Alison herself has no idea what the circumstances will be surrounding her character’s exit from the show, a spokesperson has claimed that she will NOT be killed off.

They said: "We wish Alison all the best with what she goes on to in the future.

“The door will be left open for a possible return for Carla.”

However there are rumours that they have simply said this in a bid to keep her death a surprise to viewers.

Eep!

What do you think Nick will do when he learns of Carla’s affair?
