A few weeks ago, EastEnders fans were left scratching their heads over soap newcomer Sophie Dodd.

Because, even though we KNEW she was brand-new to the soap, we couldn’t shake the feeling that she looked awfully familiar…

And now, speaking on ITV's Loose Women, Debbie has hinted that Poppy’s character could be appearing in Walford again.

"Well, she went in for a visit so we'll just see what happens," she teased.

"Some people said: 'Oh, she looks a bit like Anna Windass from Corrie'. And I thought: 'Oh, they must know!' But people genuinely didn't, so obviously we do look alike."

However Debbie also revealed that she would be over-the-moon if Poppy could join her proud mum over at ITV’s Coronation Street.

She said: "I think this is where I would politically say: 'Oh I'm not bothered!' But I would love it, course I would! It'd be great, wouldn't it?

“I’d love it and she'd love it."

Fingers crossed Corrie producers were listening in, eh?

Coronation Street continues tonight (January 25) at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
