There’s good news for Cold Feet fans, as TV bosses have confirmed a deal has been struck to bring the iconic 90s show back to screens.
After its emotional finale in 2003, the series - starring James Nesbitt, Helen Baxendale and John Thomson - is set to hit screens once more, taking up the Sunday night slot usually occupied by Downton Abbey.
And according to The Sun, reunion rumours have been rife for five years, with bosses only worry being that the main stars would not return for another stint.
Earlier this year, an insider told the paper: ‘The deal is very nearly done. Filming will begin early next year and the new series will be ready to go by next spring.’
And now actress Fay Ripley, who played Jenny Gifford in the show, has confirmed they are on track for the new series.
'Well yes, I think we’re off and away, I think I can say that' she said.
'Ten years have passed, anything could have happened. I’m hoping it’s not written that I’ve got very thin, because that’s not happened!
'I still have a relationship with John. I reckon we’ll pretty much pick up where we were. We’re still friends.'
Back in the late 90s and early 00s, Cold Feet drew in eight million viewers and won 20 major awards.
Following the highs and lows of three couples, the series managed to balance a sense of humour with some deeply tragic and touching storylines.******
Ok, who's excited?
