How was Love Island 2024 exactly a year ago?
We don't need an answer to that; we know how time works, but it is mad to think Love Island 2024 was that long ago. It feels like just yesterday that Joey Essex's head was turning faster than Regan MacNeil, we'd only just met the likes of Grace Jackson and Harriett Blackmore, and Mimii Tafara and Josh Oyinsan made Love Island history as the first Black couple to win Love Island.
The series gifted us all with some truly iconic Islanders, some we lost far too soon. Remember Sam Taylor, Munveer Jabbal and Patsy Field?

Speaking of Patsy, the series 11 OG took to her TikTok this week to show off the results of her 'gifted fox eye' surgery, and we'll be honest, gifted surgery content makes us nervous, but we have to say, she looks unreal, and more importantly, seems ecstatic with the results.
FYI, for those wondering, fox eye surgery (medically known as canthoplasty or canthopexy) involves lifting the outer corners of the eyes to create an almond shape, often referred to as 'fox-like'.
Taking to TikTok with some serious bandages covering her face, the Islander said, 'I'm about to show you the results of my fox eye surgery and you better be nice.
'I'm leaving the house today for the first time since my fox eye surgery, so it's time to take the bandages off, and it's time for the big reveal.
'There was a moment where I was a bit scared, I'm not going to lie, but as the days go on, the results are looking good, if I do say so myself.
'Okay, so a little more about the surgery; it was a gifted surgery by Esteworld and they are amazing. These are the second set of bandages, I had the original ones straight after my surgery peeled off before I flew home and had new ones put on.'
Patsy continued, 'So I was in Turkey for around a week after the surgery to heal and recover and now it's been about a week with them on at home, so it's time to come off.
'I just tired to show you the stitches in my hairline, so I have a small set of stitches on each side of my head in my hairline; very unnoticeable and everything is healing really really well so far. But as you might be able to see my eyelids are a little bit swollen, so they look a bit puffy and the sides of my head are a little bit swollen as well.'
She added, 'My eyes are so much more lifted now, I feel like I look less tired and younger, so I'm very happy with that.

Patsy was initially coupled up with Ayo Odukoya on Love Island 2024, then caught the eye of Munveer. Patsy and Munveer soon deaded things off and became a friendship couple.
Soon after, Patsy and Munveer were voted as the least compatible couple and ended up vulnerable. The male Islanders ultimately chose to dump Patsy from the villa.
