Although she and Love Island's Tommy Fury are giving their relationship another go, Molly Mae Hague is still well aware that their relationship is in a fragile state.
Molly Mae, 25, and Tommy – who turns 26 this week – had initially been tight-lipped about the reason for their surprise split last year, but later revealed that Tommy’s struggle with alcohol had led to the breakdown of their relationship.
However, after jetting off on a family holiday together earlier this year with their two-year-old daughter, Bambi, it has since been confirmed that the couple are giving it another go.

Now, the Maebe creator has opened up about their reconciliation in the second installment of her Amazon docuseries, Molly Mae: Behind It All. In it, the mum-of-one asks the camera, ‘Things are looking like they’re heading in a good direction, but by tomorrow could it all be destroyed again?’
A source tells Closer, ‘What they’re dealing with – Tommy’s problems with alcohol – is challenging and scary. Sometimes Molly Mae gets really terrified of what the future could hold, there are so many “what ifs”, and she can’t control them. She can’t control what’s going to happen to Tommy either and she knows that she can’t take responsibility for it, it’s going to be him and that is also really terrifying. Even though they’ve come through this together, they know how fragile this is.’
Molly Mae’s family have made their reservations clear from the beginning, with her sister Zoe being particularly outspoken about her distrust of Tommy. In part two of Molly Mae: Behind It All, Zoe even asks her point-blank, ‘Have you actually addressed the problems?’

Our insiders says, ‘There’s been a lot of questions from her family, and Molly Mae knows there’s going to be a lot written online about them being back together, but she doesn’t want to think about that. They are trying to just live it day-to-day and take the pressure off the future.’
Our source adds that Molly Mae wants to live in the moment – she knows that focussing on the good is the only way she and Tommy will get through this.
‘They don’t want to constantly be talking about the problems and the past. That’s also why she wanted everything out there on the show, she just wants to deal with things once, publicly, and not have to keep rehashing things. She’s learning to be present and not keep looking over her shoulder worrying about all the things that could go wrong, but she knows that’s going to take a while, maybe even a few years.’
