It’s no secret that we’re HUGE fans of both Love Island and TOWIE here at Closer HQ, so imagine our excitement when it was revealed earlier this year that Love Island 2024’s Matilda Draper was joining the cast of the ITVBe show after going public with cast member Roman Hackett.
Matilda certainly isn’t first Islander to join TOWIE, that honour goes to Love Island 2015’s Jon Clark. Love Island 2017 legend Olivia Attwood and All Stars 2025 couple Elma Pazar and Sammy Root have all made the switch from the villa to Essex too.
It doesn’t sound like Matilda will be the last in the Love Island to TOWIE pipeline either, as her bestie Harriett Blackmore has teased that she and Ronnie Vint could join her after their stint in the All Stars villa.
Harriett and Ronnie paid a visit to the Closer office earlier this week where they discussed everything from how Harriett really feels about Liv Hawkins to her favourite budget beauty buy (it’s the L’oréal skint tint FYI).
And when the subject of TOWIE was brought up, Harriett told us, ‘I think obviously if the time was right and it made sense then why wouldn’t we?
‘Obviously my best friend Matilda’s on there. So yeah, who knows?’
Well, that’s not a no. Get them on the phone, TOWIE producers.
Ronnie added, ‘And I know Sammy really well, so yeah, it could be really good.’
Matilda then suggest ‘a little double date’, which we’re totally here for, before Ronnie went one better and said a ‘triple date’ between him, Harriett, Matilda, Roman, Elma and Sammy could be on the cards.
Yes please.
Harriett and Ronnie are still going strong after getting their relationship back on track in the All Stars villa after splitting just months after they left the Love Island 2024 villa.
But despite Ronnie changing his ways and treating Harriett like the queen she is, the pair just missed out on the final when the dumped Islanders returned to the villa just days before and sent them packing in a brutal vote.
They were robbed, we tell ya. ROBBED.
