Cast your minds back to the start of Love Island: All Stars when Casey O’Gorman entered the villa for the third winter in a row. Admit it, you rolled your eyes, we all did. After all, it was his THIRD time on the show.
We weren’t the only ones that were sceptical either, as his fellow All Star Kaz Crossley accused him of being a ‘player’ and called him out for ‘f**king girls over’.
Ultimately though, Casey proved Kaz – and the rest of us – wrong when he fell head over heels for Gabby Allen and barely even looked at another girl for six weeks (well, apart from when Grace Jackson first arrived as a bombshell, but let’s not talk about that).
Of course, Gabby and Casey went on to win the show and when they visited us at Closer HQ for a chat about their time in the villa – and we had to ask how Casey feels about Kaz now after their explosive row.
Casey admitted that he’s ‘sweet’ with Kaz now and revealed she’d even apologised for confronting him when he bombshelled his way into the villa.
He explained, ‘Even after a couple of days in the villa, she was apologetic and I think throughout the whole process she saw how I treated Gabs, who is one of Kaz’s best friends, and she was rooting for us ever since then really.’
Casey continued, ‘She could see that I’d changed and I think she regretted saying it because she didn’t really know me. She didn’t know what I was like, she’d never seen me in a relationship before. So it’s nice to prove not just her wrong, but a lot of people and a lot of the public, who did think I was just this player as well.’
But did the rumours about Casey being a love rat ever make Gabby think twice about pursuing things with Casey? Apparently not.
She told us, ‘When Casey came in and Kaz called him a player, it wasn’t something that I hadn’t already thought. I’m not stupid, I’ve also been on the outside and heard things about Casey and all that before, but I can only judge someone on what they’re like with me. I can’t use somebody else’s preconceptions of someone to make my decision, so all I can go on is how he’s treated me and that’s been so amazing.’
‘When we was in there, I’m not sure how much everybody saw but I did voice my concerns and told him I needed a bit of reassurance and stuff, and all he did was give that to me and I’ve only ever felt confident and comfortable with him. I’ve just got to trust how he is with me rather than what everyone else says.’
Aww, they’re just couple goals, aren’t they?
