It must be quite daunting being in the Love Island villa. Yes, it's basically an all-inclusive sponsored by Instagram, but it's a far from relaxing ordeal for our Islanders.
They're up all hours of the night filming, their every move is being scrutinised by the British public every day, and producers are listening to EVERYTHING. Oh, and the toilet situation sounds vile.
But back to producers listening to everything: our Love Island 2025 boys and girls are mic'd up all day everyday to ensure that we hear them with crystal clear clarity at home and to ensure that producers don't miss a beat when it comes to villa drama. BUT, they are expensive pieces of technology, and therefore aren't worn in bed, in the shower or in the pool... cue the cheekiest of loopholes for the cheekiest of Islanders.

According to Love Island legend Olivia Hawkins - who has been spilling Love Island tea with Mecca Bingo this summer - the All Stars 2025 boys used the mic rules to have secret conversations in the villa's pool; conversations that the producers physically couldn't listen in on. Cheeky.
Hardcore Love Island fans will remember that the villa used for All Stars in South Africa has one hell of a big boujie pool; so big and boujie, in fact, that it has its own bridge.

Now, according to Miss Hawkins, the All Stars 2025 boys would go under the bridge to have secret conversations that they knew producers wouldn't be able to include in the edit as they were in the pool and their mics were off (producers couldn't even lip read, as they'd be hidden under the bridge).
She revealed, 'On All Stars, the boys used to go under the bridge in the water and have secret conversations they knew couldn’t be aired. To be honest, it was most of them, definitely Casey [O'Gorman], Scott [Thomas] and Luca [Bish]. I don’t know what the conversations were about, obviously, but I think it was probably about who they wanted to come into the villa and how they were really feeling and that kind of thing.'

Naughty naughty.
Obviously, our Love Island 2025 Islanders are in the Majorcan villa right now, not the South African one, which isn't quite boujie enough for its own pool bridge, but still, it's got us wondering what methods this year's cohort might've resorted to to have incognito conversations away from millions of prying eyes.
We have a distinct memory of former Islander Whitney Adebayo revealing that she used to get her boobs out on camera in the bedroom to have secret conversations, knowing that producers wouldn't be able to include the footage, so there are ways around those crafty producers.
