There are three very basic things the Closer online team adore about summer and those things are the intermittent spells of scorching hot weather (although a little less intense than that summer after lockdown where we basically couldn't go outside because the country was an oven, please), a new series of civilian Love Island and the endless drinking of fruity cocktails.

Honestly, drinking Aperol Spritz's on a boujie rooftop and gossiping with other journos about which Love Island legend is going to bombshell their way into the villa this summer – those vibes only, please.

And a little birdie told us that the ever-popular summer bev of bevs, Aperol Spritz, is set to form an unstoppable girl squad this summer as spritzes are apparently the bevvy of the season.

We couldn't be more here for this, so to help spritz up your summer (and ours), we've scoured the world of cocktails to find some simply delicious spritz recipes – that aren't just Aperol.

Although, Aperol, we obviously still love you – we're just interested in opening up the relationship.

Drink up! But drink responsibly, dolls.
